Subaru Progress

Its been a really long time since I've updated with progress pictures, here are some of the pics I've taken with my JDM STi lip and rear spats that I've just painted with plasti-dip. Gotta say that the rear spats came out really smooth, and the lip has a nice textured finish. These took me a while as I need to ensure that they would be able to withstand a lot of rock chips.

On another note, my fender and hood has just been finished painting and will now be installed this weekend. Pictures will be up as soon as possible.

Parts Update

I finally got my parts coming in!

Special thanks to Sam and my friend Vince for picking up my hood. They went out of their way to go to Humber College to pick up my WRX hood that I've been trying to get for like three months. Now I got my new fender and STi hood scoop coming in by Wednesday. I can't wait to get all those parts painted and installed. Theres also a group buy being set up to get some nice lowering springs in two weeks. When all these things are done, my little N/A RS would have a totally new look. There were a few miscalculations with regards to my budget, turns out the fender and paint jobs would be extremely exceeding my budget so there would some things I would not get painted. Hopefully I can get some good deals from my friends mechanic.

Look forward to some pictures being uploaded in one or two months.

MY05RSTi Update

Recently, I've received pictures of the WRX hood that was being sold. This hood would be in flat black so I'm really debating to paint it IF i can get it. It has been really difficult to contact the seller so I'm assuming it'll take another month or so before I can actually pay and get the hood. The extra month should be good as I would be able to save up more money by the time everything gets settled. In addition to that, it does not come with a hood scoop so I would be needing to buy that as well. So the plan now is to wait until I get the hood, then I would be able to purchase the scoop and new fender from the same vendor. The estimated total for everything to be finished should be just under $1000 XD.

At the moment, as I will be in Waterloo for most of my time, a few of the installations have been delayed. I still haven't been able to install the LED lights for my license plate which looks great already on FTi. Theres also the new spark plugs and the rear strut bars but I did manage to get some step-by-step illustrations as to how the installations go so it should be quick and easy. Speaking of the strut bar, I've noticed now that the front strut bar has made idle vibrations more noticeable, which is good cuz it shows that its on properly. Still haven't been able to try pushing the car yet as my tires are too worn out...hopefully i can get new ones soon XD!

Black roof + Yellow Fog Light Film

April 3rd
My fit (aka FTi) is gona look a hella sexier because I'm gonna get my roof blacken with a vinyl and my fog lights yellowed with a film!

I was debating on what kind of black should I use for the roof (matte or glossy)..at first I though glossy would be sick cuz it would look like I haf a glass roof.  In contrast, my car colour is taffeta white (aka dull white)..its gonna be overly exaggerated with a glossy top on a dull coloured car. Thus, I am going to get matte black!

Aside from the sick look, my yellow fog light film would serve as a protection for my lights..cuz they broke relatively easily and its hella expensive to repair/replace ><

I shall post pics of the finished product this weekend =) stay tuned

DIY project: cargo cover

okay,
as the title of this blog has implied, i'm gonna make my own cargo cover
OEM ones are hella expensive..$100+ CDN!!
too much for a poor student like myself (especially someone that just paid their tuition X_X)
I've planned to even add lights (blue lights!! with my surplus supply of blue LEDs..) under my cargo cover!

For this coming saturday, my goal is to design on cardboard the approximate shape and size of my cargo cover..
I'll upload pics of this entire process..so stay tune!

DIY Blue LED

I've changed my license plate and cargo light to blue LED
I don't understand how people can f=ed this part up..
I read on froums on how they broke the casing for the license plate light..
C'MON PEOPLE!! BE GENTLE WITH YOUR RIDE!! XD

I'm not sure if my license plate light complies with the law though
i mean..i won't wanna get ticketed bcuz of a 3 buck mod =_=
